Hello,
I like statistics but how does this chart change when these numbers are matched to the populations of the said countries?
Going to the same source of data at http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats1.htm
Seychelles is 1st with 38.9% leading a host of small countries like Reunion (FR) and Mauritius.
In the large population countries your have Morocco with 21.3 %, Egypt with 10.5%, crippled Zimbabwe with 10.9%, advanced South Africa with 10.5%, good democratic Ghana with 2.8% and obviously the giant Nigeria with 7.2%.
Africa as a whole has a percentage population penetration of 3.5%.
The question then becomes whether this is a numbers game or a gaping digital divide that leaves Africa seriously lagging in the global competitiveness stakes?
The numbers are good for Africa because it clearly shows there is serious work to be done to on the percentages by boosting the numbers.

Akin
