Moderately stimulating, easy read. Read like a blog. I have read more tightly written liberal manifestos. Barack’s personal stories are worth reading though. Flipping through the pages, one gets a glimpse of why our president evolved to be who he is now. It is also comforting to see that Barack Obama’s ideas were not developed on the go, during the campaign. He really appears to be who he is. He is authentic. Overall, I would not have spent my time reading the book if Mr Obama was not our president. My take away from the book is the appreciation of how our life experiences shape us, sometimes leaving us no room for escape. It takes some effort to cultivate an open mind, remaining a moderately idealistic thinker.

Hello Oz,
That was one book I really enjoyed reading over the Christmas holiday and his sincerity of purpose does show through.
A different kind of politician, I would say.
